Officials say Oklahoma City has attracted national attention for its job growth and strength of the housing market.
The city was recently ranked No. 1 on the “On Numbers Economic Index” for the month of September.
The index awarded Oklahoma City with an overall score of 91.042, which beat the next-highest city by more than 5 points.
The index report stated that workers’ earnings in Oklahoma City have grown faster than any other market during the past year.
Organizers say that factor, along with 17 other components, were used to determine the city’s rankings on the list.
Other cities to make the top of the list include Austin, Texas and Omaha, Neb.
