State's best high schools named in report | News
A national news report reviewed almost 22,000 public, charter and magnet high schools in the country and awarded 113 Oklahoma high schools with distinction.
Rankings were tabulated based on schools’ student-to-teacher ratios, student proficiency on federally mandated tests in math and reading and the percentage of students taking Advanced Placement exams and score 3 or better on those tests.
The high schools that made it into the top 20 in the state include:

- Classen School of Advanced Studies
- Edmond North High School
- Booker T. Washington High School
- Memorial High School
- Norman High School
- Dove Science Academy
- Deer Creek High School
- Norman North High School
- Santa Fe High School
- Okarche High School
- Kingfisher High School
- Weatherford High School
- Putnam City North High School
- Plainview High School
- Carl Albert High School
- Westmoore High School
- Southeast High School
- Blair High School
- Yukon High School
