Authorities say missing Kingfisher woman drowned
News
OKLAHOMA CITY — The State Medical Examiner said the missing Kingfisher woman, Betty Simon, drowned after her car veered off the road and landed upside down in a creek last week.

Hundreds of search volunteers found Simon’s body inside her 2004 Buick LeSabre Saturday.

The vehicle was found upside down in a creek around 11 a.m. near the area of 17400 N. Council Rd.

Simon, 76, has been missing since last Wednesday, where she was last seen leaving an assisted living center in Oklahoma City.

The M.E. said her death has been ruled an accident.

It could be two to four months before they have the toxicology test results.
