SW 59th shut down for standoff | News

OKLAHOMA CITY– Police and emergency personnel in Oklahoma City are currently involved in a standoff situation at a local apartment complex.

Officials say it all started with an argument between two women at the Meadow Creek Apartments, located in the 600 block of S.W. 59th St. Sunday morning.

They allege one woman was thrown out of the apartment while the other barricaded herself inside.

Once police arrived on scene, they learned the woman inside the apartment may have a gun.

As a precaution, they have evacuated residents at the complex and have shut down S.W. 59th  between Shartel and Walker.
