Northridge students out of school Tuesday | News

Students who attend Northridge Elementary School are enjoying an extra long weekend thanks to a broken air conditioner.

Putnam City officials say a broken air conditioner system paired with 100 degree temperatures forced them to cancel class on Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

As of Monday evening, temperatures inside the building were above 90 degrees.

School leaders say the earliest they can begin to fix the air conditioning unit will be Tuesday at 8 a.m.
