OKLAHOMA CITY—A crazy chase in the metro just kept getting stranger as it unraveled around ten in the morning last Monday.

The story starts in Del City at a convenience store near S.E. 44th St. and Sunnylane.

That is where two men stole a black Chevy Tahoe.

A stranger saw what happened, and so did the owner of the vehicle.

The owner jumped into the stranger’s car after he had offered to chase after the thieves.

Just a few minutes later, police in Oklahoma City started receiving 911 calls about a chase on Broadway Extension with shots fired.

Captain Dee Patty with the Oklahoma City Police Department said, “Occasionally, we get something that just makes you step back and go ‘what in the world is going on?’ And this is one of those.
